Ardsley SAYF Coalition 5K Color Run/Walk

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

The 5K is open to all runners/walkers ages 7 and older. The registration/donation fee is $20.00 per person, however if you choose to donate a higher amount it would be greatly appreciated!

Please note for allergy purpose if you are allergic to rice the dye for the color run is a rice based dye. We also plan to have a section of the 5K that would be a color free section for participants.

If you plan to participate in the color run, please wear white for the color to show up best, please also plan to bring your own towels for cleaning yourself off before getting back into your car.

WAIVER TO PARTICIPATE

As a participant in the Ardsley SAYF Coalition’s 5K being held on June 18th, 2016 I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury and I agree to assume the full risk of injuries, damages or loss which I or my child may sustain as a result of such participation. I further understand that the Village of Ardsley does not provide accidental medical coverage and it is my responsibility to provide appropriate coverage. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims and hold harmless the Village of Ardsley, the Parks and Recreation Department, The Ardsley SAYF Coalition, The Ardsley Youth Police Program, the Ardsley Youth Council, its officers, agents and employees from any and all claims.

WHERE IS THE 5K FUN RUN/WALK?

The 5K Fun Run/Walk will start at Pascone Park (formerly Ashford Park); runners will then run/walk to Ardsley High School, and back to Pascone Park for the finish line.

Registration for the race will start at 8 AM, at Pascone Park, and the race will start at 9 AM.

WILL THERE BE PRIZES?

The first Male and Female runners to cross the finish line in each of the categories below will receive gift cards to local eateries in Ardsley.

Answers to some frequently asked questions:

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Your can park at the Ardsley Middle School.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

Can I take pictures? Of course! If you do bring your camera or phone, we recommend keeping it in a plastic bag to keep the dust out!

What should I wear? You can wear whatever you want but we suggest white clothing because it shows the color the best!

Will the color stain my clothes, shoes, or makeup? If you want a lot of color to hit your shirt, plan to run or walk closer to the color cannons. If you want only a little bit of color, run or walk in the farthest lane from the cannons. The color does mostly wash out after the event, but some of it can stain. As with anything, the sooner you wash it the better. We suggest wearing items that you wouldn't mind getting the color on.

Will the color get in my car? Bring a towel or some plastic bags along to sit on for the ride home, and you’ll be just fine. However, if you do get some in your vehicle, it can be dusted away or vacuumed easily. We will also have a clean up station at the end of the race to help clean off any excess dye.
